The first meeting in the Joel Walker Scientific Meeting Series will take place April 9 in Pittsburgh, PA, and will focus on head and neck cancer prevention and treatment. Dr. Robert Ferris of the University of Pittsburgh will chair the meeting of 20+ head and neck experts from around the world. The Joel Walker Scientific Meeting Series is a dedicated fund in memory of Joel Walker, who passed away from complications of head and neck cancer in 2016 at age 33. Thank you to Joel and the Walker family for making this series of specialized scientific meetings possible.

The Fanconi Cancer Foundation (FCF) is excited to announce that Dr. Isis Sroka has been named CEO effective August 1, 2024. She succeeds Mark Quinlan who served as Executive Director since 2017 and recently announced his departure. Quinlan will continue in an advisory role with FCF through a transition period.
