Eileen brings more than a decade of nonprofit finance and operations experience to the Fanconi Cancer Foundation. With a background in accounting and a deep commitment to mission-driven work, she ensures FCF’s resources are managed responsibly and transparently. Before joining FCF, Eileen held finance and operations roles at several health-focused nonprofit organizations, where she streamlined systems, strengthened internal controls, and supported strategic growth. She plays a key role in organizational planning, budgeting, and day-to-day operations, helping the team work efficiently and sustainably in support of individuals and families affected by Fanconi anemia.

Shelby Sharp

Shelby’s path to FCF was forged by pairing her passion for scientific discovery and her drive to make impactful differences in the lives of others. Raised in northern Idaho, Shelby’s interest in science was apparent from a young age, and further driven by her experience growing up with medically complex older siblings. Shelby moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for college where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from Westminster University. After college she moved to Eugene, Oregon where she earned her doctoral degree in biology.

In 2025, Shelby joined FCF as Associate Director of Grants and Scientific Affairs. She appreciates helping those affected by FA through facilitating research collaborations, overseeing the Virtual Tumor Board, and maintaining focus on integrating patient advocacy into FCF’s scientific approach.

Outside of her work at FCF, Shelby enjoys reading mystery novels with a hot cup of coffee, window shopping, embroidery, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and two cats, Pumpkin and Spice.

Jordan Deines

Jordan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in social work, brings a wealth of experience to her role as Community Programs Director at FCF. Her career began with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, leading her through various roles where she supported families and survivors of trauma within hospital settings.

In her current position, Jordan oversees all of FCF’s patient and caregiver program initiatives, collaborating closely with FA patient and caregiver advocates, as well as FA experts. Her efforts are focused on designing and implementing programming that promotes wellbeing and cultivates community care for those impacted by FA. Additionally, she fosters strategic academic partnerships to advance collaborative psychosocial research initiatives aimed at developing a roadmap to wellbeing for individuals with FA and their care partners.

“I’m honored to serve on a team that promotes and aids access to education and support for individuals with FA and caregivers in ways that ultimately empower them to become the primary drivers of FA research.”

Outside of work, Jordan finds joy in outdoor adventures with her family, including hiking, camping, snow sports, and water sports. Her passion for exploration has taken her to 21 countries and counting, enriching her perspective with each new experience.

Brettany Frederick

Brettany’s journey to FCF is as diverse as her skill set. After relocating to Eugene to pursue her education at the University of Oregon, where she majored in General Science with minors in Biology and Chemistry, she delved into the world of healthcare as a certified surgical technologist. Alongside her medical career, Brettany honed her artistic talents, culminating in the publication of an educational children’s science book during her undergraduate studies.

At FCF since 2021, Brettany channels her passion for helping others, her boundless creativity, and her love for science into her role. Initially focused on optimizing fundraising efforts by collaborating closely with fundraisers and community members, she expanded her horizons in 2023 to include marketing responsibilities across various platforms, amplifying FCF’s mission through social media, email campaigns, and publications.

Brettany is an outdoors enthusiast who feels at peace in nature. Whether camping under the stars or simply enjoying the outdoors, her love for adventure is rivaled only by her affection for animals.

Lauren Kennedy

Lauren brings over 15 years of nonprofit expertise to the FCF team since joining in 2023. A graduate of Miami University, she embarked on her professional journey at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), where she played a pivotal role in expanding the annual fundraising and corporate giving programs. Following her impactful tenure at LLS, Lauren continued to make waves at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, leading the development program with a strong focus on community engagement.

In her role leading the fundraising team at FCF, Lauren brings her extensive expertise to the forefront. With a knack for cultivating relationships and a keen eye for detail, she specializes in estate giving, developing strategic partnerships, and guiding donors to make meaningful impact. Passionate about connecting with families, Lauren is dedicated to amplifying their inspiring stories to drive positive change.

Outside of her work with FCF, Lauren cherishes quality time and making memories with her husband and two young children.

Andrea Ronan

With over a decade of healthcare experience specializing in nutrition support and critical care, Andrea joined the FCF team in 2021. Originally from Pennsylvania, she honed her skills at Walter Reed Military Medical Hospital in Maryland before making the leap to the Pacific Northwest.

In her role as Advocacy and Engagement Manager, Andrea is the driving force behind managing community programs focused on clinical support and advocacy for FCF. Her responsibilities include overseeing community clinical programs, such as the Fanconi Anemia Registry and the Virtual Tumor Board, ensuring individuals with FA and cancer diagnoses receive optimal care. Additionally, she spearheads the FCF Advocacy Program, amplifying the voices and experiences of the FA community.

A die-hard Penn State football fan, when she’s not working you can catch her rooting for her team, spending time with her American Bulldog, Boh, baking, or traveling.

Isis Sroka

Isis is a nonprofit executive with expertise in leadership and strategic development of nonprofit-supported biomedical research for rare cancers and diseases. She holds a doctorate in cancer biology and certificates in nonprofit management and executive leadership and has had over 20 years of experience in oncology research in both the academic and nonprofit sectors.

At the Fanconi Cancer Foundation, Isis has excelled in leading the development of multidisciplinary and patient-centered research programs aimed at finding a solution for FA cancers. Her areas of proficiency include cancer and molecular biology, open-research and data sharing practices, innovative grant program development, science communication, staff management, team leadership, and fostering effective partnerships among academia, industry, and patient advocate communities. In August 2024 Isis became Chief Executive Officer after serving as Director of Scientific Operations and Chief Scientific Officer.

Taylor Tidd

Taylor, a native of Boise, Idaho, embarked on her academic journey at the University of Utah, graduating with a degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Business. Before finding her place at FCF, she gained valuable experience in various clinical settings and dedicated her time to volunteering with programs aimed at supporting underserved populations.

Driven by her passion for event planning and her genuine love for people, Taylor leverages her skills and interests to make a difference in the FA community. She started at FCF as the Community Support Program Manager, facilitating connections, providing vital resources, and offering personal support to individuals and caregivers affected by FA. In 2025 she became Events Program Manager. In this role, she leads the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events that support and engage the FA community. From retreats and community gatherings to research symposia and virtual meetups, Taylor ensures each event is inclusive, well-organized, and aligned with FCF’s mission to strengthen connections across the FA community.

Outside of her professional endeavors, you could find Taylor engrossed in a good book, exploring nature through hiking adventures, or spending quality time with her furry companion, Waffles.

Sherri’s interest in the nonprofit sector began during her undergraduate years at the University of Oregon, where she pursued degrees in International Relations and Spanish and recognized the power and impact of nonprofit work. After graduation, her passion for foreign languages and international studies led her overseas to Brussels, Belgium, where she earned a Master’s degree in Communications.

Joining FCF in 2015 as the Communications Coordinator, Sherri became Communications Director in 2018. With a keen focus on strategic communications, Sherri brings together the big picture of FCF’s work and ensures that every message serves the organizational goals outlined in FCF’s strategic plan. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and creatively inclined, she oversees all marketing and communications activities, leveraging her skills in branding, graphic design, and compelling storytelling to convey FCF’s impactful work to the world.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Sherri enjoys trying new and ambitious recipes, making progress on her to read list, and exploring hidden Oregon gems with her wife, Caity, and pup, Astro.
