Richard Gelinas, PhD, speaks about the possibilities of research

Sharon Schuman, long-time supporter and board member, held the 19th annual Concert and Wine benefit for the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund on April 8 in Eugene, Ore. Each year, Sharon invites different musicians to play select pieces. The concert attendees also hear from lead FA researchers. This year, FARF Scientific Advisory Board members Grover Bagby and Richard Gelinas shared updates in Fanconi anemia research (see video), including the funding of two clinical trials in 2018. Lynn Frohnmayer, FARF co-founder, spoke about FARF’s scientific progress and future directions, highlighting the focus on developing therapies specific to the cancers prominent in people with FA.

By the end of the concert, $22,000 was raised for FA research!
